The Building
Endowed with the signature address, One Canberra is located less than 500 meters from Parliament House on the intersection of Canberra Avenue and National Circuit in Forrest.

The design practice has conceived striking, innovative and exceptional quality building which addresses the national significance of the site and its public nature.

One Canberra will provide a total of 24,000 square meters of office space over five levels on flexible floor plates varying from 2200 square meters to 5,000 square meters.  The active heart of the building is a 1,000 Sq.m, 5 storey central atrium which provides access across the building and between floors via generous aerial bridges and helical stair.

The Builders program provided a very tight schedule for trades, a critical issue that Waco Kwikform achieved at all times. Weekly meetings with the builder were held to ensure that the build programs critical path was agreed, adhered to and achieved through daily tasks and confirmed works orders. 

Because of the high profile nature of the project Waco Kwikform ensured that the provider of the central atrium staircase along with Waco Kwikform’s Draftsman and labour company worked close together to ensure that the scaffold design worked with the birdcage which was built later to construct the suspended ceilings.

As there was limited space available on the site, Waco Kwikform’s inventory controller worked closely with the client to ensure timely transport of materials, providing truck access upon delivery and limiting double movement of materials or vehicles on the site.
